Amish Handcrafted Primitive Barnwood Dry Sink. Measures 30" (h) x 21" (w) x 14.5" (d). Constructed from barn wood in excess of 100 years old. This wood is reclaimed from old barns. This unique piece is very rustic. Each piece is individually hand made and you should expect some minor flaws. A great addition to any country rustic decor. The barnwood used may vary in color.

Amish Handcrafted Wooden Hay Fork. What a great addition to any country rustic decor, also very functional for turning or lifting hay or as a dung fork. The association with the bounty of the harvest implies good wishes. A hay fork takes about three weeks to make. Starting with a single suitable piece of wood, two cuts are made in one end, equal to the length of the tines. The piece is soaked in hot water, after which wedges are inserted in the cuts, causing the wood to separate into tines. The wood is dried and then the tines are sanded into shape. You will also see numerous depictions in art of Jesus Christ carrying a shepherd's crook, since he is frequently referred to as the shepherd of Christian followers. Not only does the shepherd's crook serve as a walking stick, but they may also serve a significant function in the shepherding world. The curved handle is normally wide enough to fit around the neck of a sheep or goat, allowing a herder to catch an animal that is straying and reroute them to a different direction. The hook would also be uses to rescue an animal that had slipped out of reach of the shepherd.
